Provo usually isn't my kind of town. No offense to those who live there and love it, I just start to get a little bit claustrophobic when I'm there too long. Sorry, it's just part of who I am. I was surprised at how much fun I had down there this last weekend with Kate and Jess. I started out great because Jess and I got lost and started taking pictures of ourselves with finger puppets. But, I really hit my stride when I started offering unsolicited advice to people coming out of the dressing rooms at Banana Republic. I don't think they loved me... We went to P.F. Chang's for dinner and to my extreme delight, they have their signature horses OUTSIDE the restaurant. If that's not an invitation to get up on them, I don't know what is. So I did. Well, kind of. They were on these HUGE big platform things and so I had to climb up on that and then I got kind of scared not to mention that Kate and Jess were freezing and not super supportive of my adventure. I can't really blame them - it was cold and I was being a bit juvenile. The hundreds of women who were celebrating Women's Conference weren't amused with me either. Sadly, that tends to increase my enjoyment of any activity. Strange, I know. Well, all was well (at least for me!) until I had to jump down off of said horse. I hadn't anticipated how far of a jump it was and I landed on my feet (shocker!!) but not without jarring my back something fierce. The next few days were followed by inability to sit or stand very long. After a blessing at church (yay for worthy priesthood holders who are ready to go at a moments notice!!) I was feeling better-ish. I really turned the corner and started feeling better when Jen took me over to Clark and LeeAnn's house to use the massage wands on me. Clark cracked my back and as scary as that was - not because of Clark, mind you - it helped and I'm doing much better! I haven't even needed to consume massive amounts of Advil! I think the drama that came after the dismount makes the story all the better! If I hadn't hurt myself (which I always do!) then the story would have faded into oblivion...

Oh my word! I mayeb love this story...I did not know the horse had a name! I love it! Really!
yikes...glad so far everything is okay...I cringed when I read this because a friend of mine did almost the exact same thing and has been through major surgery and on bed rest for a whole year now...so either you're really lucky, or the worst hasn't come yet :) I'm sure it was worth it though :)
Too funny. I actually worked at the P.F. Changs when I first got married. We should try and get together soon. I am actually in Sandy this week but soon!
I am waiting for the pictures of Heather's wedding!!!
Kayla, I love this story even more the third time I heard... er.. read it. I'm super glad you're feeling better. Love yer guts!
Man I dunno if I'd forgotten or what but that horse is MASSIVE! Now is that as far as you got or did you get right up on it like on it's back? Man you're nuts!!!
But in saying that, I see myself doing the same thing and me egging you on to do it.
Maybe that's why we're such good mates.
Kay-Glad you are feeling better, but this is my favorite story of the week. Sorry you got hurt, but love that you can laugh about it. Love ya tons!
Kayla, your writing just cracks me up!! I love it! Oh...and we love Juno too!

Chad, I'm totally going to talk to Dave Carlson. He's a head hunter here in Bountiful. Maybe he's got an "in" somewhere.
Amy, I'm thankful that I am doing better without back surgery and all that. Can you iamgine how crabby I would be? I loathe to imagine it...
Heather, did YOU ever get up on the horse?
Next time I'm down there I'm totally getting on top of him for real this time. I'm excited. Melissa, you in?
Michelle and Dave - I KNEW you would love Juno!! Totally inappropriate at times but SO great! We'll have to chat about it! So funny!
Kayla, I love you! Someday you should write a book about your adventures/injuries =)
P.S. Can you tell me what time Em's shower is on Sat?
